Happy Easter !

'The Entertainer' is highly correct. My mother and I saw Billy Joel in concert last night at the RBC Center in Raleigh. A GREAT EVENT.
That guy sure can play the piano! I have a hard time trying to keep my fingers independent in doing such a thing as playing the piano or drums. The best part of the concert is when the band did somewhat of a version of American Idol and played the AC/DC song "Highway To Hell" sung by their longtime guitar roadie 'Chainsaw.' It's been in the music news a number of times, but the first time I heard about it let alone witnessed it. Usually, the news I'm made aware of are the mishaps or strange things of life. Billy Joel has had his share in recent years, but is still able to carry on, sell out arenas and put on a show. Of course...the 1973 song which made him famous, "Piano Man," was the finale. An interesting thing about this end stage concert was that it was open behind it. The entire arena was available for people to come and see him. It's just another great event to add to the musical artists I've seen.
Normally, venues don't allow cameras or video recorders to concert events. I noticed a few people last night though taking pictures during the concert. I'll keep my camera at home, at I'd rather be safe than sorry.
OK, now for something else. Daylight Savings Time is now roughly a month longer. I thought I heard about this change previously. Anyways, Daylight Savings Time begins in the United States and Canada at 2:00 AM on Sunday March 11, 2007. Make sure you set your clocks ahead one hour before you go to bed Saturday night. This would have happened on April 1, 2007 had the time change remained as it was. It'll be interesting seeing the days longer early.
There was a total eclipse of the moon last night. Skies were clear here for me to see it just before 7:00 PM EST. It was primarily visible throughout the Eastern United States and Canada along with most of the West Indies. The next one will occur on August 28, 2007 in the wee hours of the morning. That will be visible throughout most of North America. I probably won't be awake to see that one though.
In the hockey world, them Carolina Hurricant's are back once again. The usual things...problems in scoring, holding leads and puck control. Their power play has been pathetic recently. Injuries continue to plague them as well. They lost to the Atlanta Thrashers 3-1 earlier today. Maybe a four-day period between games will help to heal wounds, as the Hurricanes don't play again until Friday in Washington, DC against the Capitals. The playoff race gets more interesting as the number of games left dwindle. Every needed point counts.
On Tobacco Road, the North Carolina Tar Heels beat the Duke Blue Devils once again in men's college basketball. Ho-hum. Let's see what the ACC Tournament brings later this week. Everything goes...
Oh yeah...for those who play the lottery, get tickets for the Mega Millions drawing on Tuesday. The current jackpot is at $370 MILLON
, which beats the record of $365 million for Powerball last year. If you can only get Powerball where you're at, the jackpot is $120 million for Wednesday's drawing. Who knows? It's the luck of the draw.
Lemme finish eating so I can go back out. I'll talk back to everyone later.
