Happy Easter !

Hopefully, everyone had a great New Year's!
I was out of town for the holiday, but fun nonetheless. The past few weeks I've been pretty busy, and made it to be somewhat lazy on my days off. As seen by the view looking northwest from the summit, I was able to make it back to Hanging Rock State Park in Danbury, North Carolina a couple weeks ago. For those who may visit the Carolinas in the near future, please take time to see the great scapes the Blue Ridge Region has to offer. Although the more prominent and majestic mountains are in the western United States, scenic views are just as grand from the peaks here too. I prefer the ones to hike up than the drive-ups. It takes the fun out of things. BORING.
Make sure you bring your walking stick and extra time to explore. More photos from Hanging Rock State Park, along with some other scenic pictures and creative works are now posted on Foxx Trotter's Cavern. I'll be going back to Grayson Highlands State Park in Virginia within the next couple weeks and finally trek up Mount Rogers, plus take a shot of an interesting group of signs in Wytheville. Stay tuned for more great scapes.
The Raleigh-Durham area experienced its first snow of the winter season a week ago. It wasn't much...about an inch. The rain washed the white stuff away later that afternoon. There's a possibility of a flurry tomorrow, but nothing significant. Today was springlike. The upcoming week is going to be much colder with lows in the 20's and highs in the 40's. It's nothing like what the conditions were in the northeast yesterday, with lows in the single digits in Albany, New York. If I remember correctly, this area hasn't had a temperature below 20 degrees yet this winter season. We'll just have to see what progresses.
I'll be making rounds to my friends' journal sites and posting yak-yaks
, since the last time I did so was around Christmas. I haven't forgotten about you all.
A "busy beaver" will always be a "busy beaver." Hopefully, I'll have more time to post entries in the upcoming weeks.
It's almost time to eat, so I'll see everyone later!
Good to hear from you Foxx...There is a Hanging Rock in Australia...somewhere, Victoria I think..they made a movie about the place after a few girl went missing on a day trip in the early 1900's from memory. After watching it in the 70's I used to go for long walks in the bush by myself...hoping I would go missing too. I was a strange little girl...lol. Take care and catch up again soon...
